Clubs
The after-school clubs are ways for students to become involved with the community. In these clubs, students acquire a great deal of social and emotional skills that will better prepare them to lead an independent life after school.
Clubs, varying year-to-year based upon student interest, encompass all aspects of life:
- Community Service: Community Service Corps
- Performing Arts: Sign Connection
- Physical Fitness: Ski Club
- Game Play: Chess Club
- Sustainability: Gardening Club
- Arts: Craft Club
The goal of our after school programs is to teach lessons of character, teamwork, and self-esteem.
Sign Connection
One after school program in particular, our signing performance group Sign Connection, is a true ambassador for our school. Students sign songs to music they also interact with the audiences at the events.
Sign Connection has performed at:
- Opening day of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees game
- Local schools and community colleges
- Veterans Day Program
- NASCAR races at Pocono Raceway
- Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins
