High School
Grades: Ninth through Twelfth
The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of hearing Children offers programming for high school age students who have additional disabilities. The student’s Individualized Education Plan determines the best programming for a student. Emphasis is placed on teaching life and work-related skills that can be transferred into real life experiences. Introduction, opportunities for skill development and experience with technology (VideoPhones, iPads, visual alerting systems, etc.) are used in daily life. Staff and students work closely with local businesses and workshops to help students learn skills that will transfer once they graduate.
