Clubs

The after-school clubs are ways for students to become involved with the community.  In these clubs, students acquire a great deal of social and emotional skills that will better prepare them to lead an independent life after school.

Clubs, varying year-to-year based upon student interest, encompass all aspects of life:

  • Community Service: Community Service Corps
  • Performing Arts: Sign Connection
  • Physical Fitness: Ski Club
  • Game Play: Chess Club
  • Sustainability: Gardening Club
  • Arts: Craft Club

The goal of our after school programs is to teach lessons of character, teamwork, and self-esteem.

Sign Connection

One after school program in particular, our signing performance group Sign Connection, is a true ambassador for our school. Students sign songs to music they also interact with the audiences at the events.

Sign Connection has performed at:

  • Opening day of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees game
  • Local schools and community colleges
  • Veterans Day Program
  • NASCAR races at Pocono Raceway
  • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins
